Thank you for your interest in our health fair!

The Community Health Involvement Project (CHIP) will be holding its first annual health fair on March 27, 2010 in McCarthy Quad. This achievement represents 3 years of hard work and dedication towards educating the underserviced areas in Los Angeles, CA about prevalent health issues through screenings, information sessions, and learning activities for children. Our experience with administering free blood pressure, blood glucose, and vision screenings at community centers throughout Los Angeles, and providing those who are identified as high-risk for disease with information on how to find professional help, has granted us insight as to how we might advocate for better health in our community. We at CHIP are excited that we have established such strong roots in the community and that we can now invite the community to join us at our home - the University of Southern California campus.

If you are a USC Student interested in helping with the event as an event-day volunteer, please contact us at uscchip@usc.edu and inform us of your intent. No prior training is required! We will notify you of what your specific assignment will be as the date approaches. There will be a mandatory orientation for all volunteers on the morning of Saturday, March 6. Please set this date aside in your calendar as well if you are interested in assisting us. If you are also interested in receiving training for our various screenings, as well as attend other events, we would also ask that you sign up for an account on our website here. Please note that we only offer trainings to those who are committed to attending our other events as well as the health fair.

If you are a local non-profit or health related organization and would like to provide pamplets, volunteers, information, or set up your own booth, please contact us at uscchip@usc.edu with your information and we will respond promptly.

If you would like to provide monetary donations, in-kind donations of goods, or any other form of material support, please contact us at uscchip@usc.edu. Alternative forms of donation will be available shortly.

More information will be presented on this website as it is made available, so please keep this page bookmarked and check back frequently if you are interested. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
